There are several ways to get to Hannekes Boom:
By bike or on foot:
From the north side of Amsterdam Central Station, cycle along Piet Heinkade past Het Muziekgebouw, heading east. Turn right onto Kattenburgerstraat, passing underneath the railway tracks, and immediately after the tracks, turn right onto Dijksgracht. From the city centre, follow Prins Hendrikkade past the IJ Tunnel. At the Maritime Museum, continue straight onto Kattenburgerstraat and turn left onto Dijksgracht after the bridge.
By boat:
Of course, you can come to Hannekes Boom by boat! Sail past NEMO and you’ll see Hannekes’ little harbour. It’s easy to moor at the Oosterdok. GPS: 52°22’34.51″N; 4°54’42.64″E.
By car:
From €10 per day, you can park just a 2-minute walk away in the OBA car park (Parking Centrum Oosterdok).
Other parking options include the Piet Hein Garage underneath the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA), located on Piet Heinkade. Nearby, you’ll also find Q-Park IJ-oever Centrum. Another option is APCOA Parking De Loodsen, located at Veembroederhof 208.
Another affordable option is P+R Zeeburg, where you can park for 24 hours at a reduced rate, including tram tickets. Tram 26 takes you from there to Hannekes Boom in about 10 minutes.
If you’re taking a taxi, ask the driver to go to De Ruijterkade / Oosterdokskade. This is on the other side of the footbridge to Oosterdokseiland, towards Amsterdam Central Station.
By train:
Hannekes Boom is located next to Oosterdokseiland (ODE), close to Amsterdam Central Station. From the station, walk left towards the Kamperbrug. Follow Oosterdokskade until you see the Oosterdoksdraaibrug on your right. Cross the water and you’ll find Hannekes Boom on your right.
By tram:
Tram 26 departs from Amsterdam Central Station in the direction of Hannekes Boom. Line 26 towards IJburg passes right by Hannekes Boom. Get off at the Muziekgebouw aan het IJ stop. At the tram stop, take the stairs or lift down, walk underneath the railway tracks, and you’ll find Hannekes Boom there.
Hannekes Boot is available for groups of 40 to 200 guests. The venue consists of two decks, each offering different possibilities depending on the size and type of event.
